Walleye fishing is nothing short of spectacular on Lake of the Woods. They are usually found on or near bottom. Spinners with crawlers, minnows, or leeches work best. Large numbers can be caught in June and July but more trophies are caught in August.

Northerns fight with amazing power and speed. These monsters are caught off of rocky points and in weedy bays on almost any bait, especially spoons, spinner baits, and crank baits.

Muskies on Lake of the Woods are huge! As any Muskie Fisherman knows it can take a bit of fishing around to hook into one of these monsters. Once you do its not uncommon to expect quite a fight! These trophy fish can make your entire trip, occasionally measuring over 50 inches long!

Smallmouth Bass on Lake of the Woods are very aggressive which makes fishing very exciting. They always put up a fight and frequently jump right out of the water. Smallmouth are caught along rocky points and shallow shoreline with a combination of crank and spinner baits.
